This will be done at Edinburgh Assay Office and can add up to 6 weeks onto the over all making time of your jewellery, during busy times** Our fingerprints are unique, and so is the handwriting of our loved ones. Now you can combine both memories into one piece of jewellery. Impressive! Your double-sided charm will have a (putty) fingerprint on side 1 and a handwritten word (max 4 or 5 short words) on side 2. Side 1 of your charm A beautiful and discreetly Impressive piece of keepsake jewellery. Your Fingerprint Necklace is created using a putty impression of your loved one’s true fingerprint. Putty impressions are directly pressed into your sterling silver jewellery. This gives a direct imprint of your loved one’s print – no digital manipulations and machines needed – just jewellery ‘touched’ by those who mean everything to you. Taking the print couldn’t be easier with a Putty Print Kit sent to you for free when you order, or I can use a putty print that you may already have, or maybe I already have your prints stored safely here at the studio. Putty Kit -What happened when you choose… Yes Please – We will send you a kit with enough putty to take 2 fingerprint impressions. With a prepaid return pack. No Thanks – Just a return pack please – We will send you a prepaid return pack with all relevant packaging etc No Thanks – You have these stored – After ordering please email me with your new order number and explain which prints we have on record here for you and how you’d like your jewellery made. **If you have a mixture of needing the free kit and having stored prints used please choose the most appropriate option and email with your order number and give details of exactly what you have, and what you need, and I will provide everything needed. The front of the charm: The front of the charm will be ‘touched’ with the putty fingerprint that you supply us. Side 2 Our handwriting is as unique as our fingerprints. If you have a card, a letter or any written message from a loved one you can now have their handwriting on side 2 of your jewellery. Handwriting must be clear, on a light/white background with good contrast to be successful. On a large keyring there’s usually room for 4 or 5 short words (no more than 4 or 5 letters in each word works best). If in doubt, email a copy of the writing you have and ask before ordering. Please be mindful that large charms are approximately 26mm at their widest point.     Keyring charms attach a soldered link, then a metal split link, then to a metal link on the keyring chain (Keyring chain links are not soldered). Sterling silver can and will scratch – care should be taken when attaching and using with your keys. POSTAGE OPTIONS  Standard Mail – £10.99 flat rate at checkout includes kit being sent via RM 2nd class mail on Tuesday/Thursday, prepaid return pack and final orders sent via RM Special Delivery. First class RM 24 Hours (not guaranteed) – as for Standard mail with the addition of sending your putty kit via a faster method. This means your kit will be booked for an additional collection the day after you order, and then you should receive the kit 24 hours after this. RM do not guarantee this. Special Delivery RM by 1pm – as for Standard mail with the addition of sending your putty kit via a fastest method possible. This means your kit will be booked for an additional collection the day after you order, Royal Mail then guarantee to deliver by 1pm the following working day. We recommend fingerprint jewellery for children over the age of 12 months, older children and adults. For children under 12 months, you might prefer the hand and footprint range. Or take a print from the palm or sole of the foot to capture more detail. All charms are completed with a fully soldered jump ring made from sterling silver. Then on an open metal link of the keyring. Fingerprints are created by using a putty.  These take a detailed imprint of the fingerprint.
