Please note: babies’ fingerprints are not as fully developed as those of older children or adults. For children under the age of 3, I recommend using a palm or foot wrinkle imprint instead—these can still produce beautifully detailed results on your jewellery, whereas a faint or underdefined fingerprint may not transfer clearly onto the ring. When you place your order, I will send you a fingerprint impression kit with easy instructions. If you already have a fingerprint or thumbprint you’d like me to use—perhaps one taken earlier, or stored for memorial purposes—you’re more than welcome to send it to me. Fingerprints are created by using a putty.  These take a detailed imprint of the fingerprint. Your kit will contain all you need. Don’t worry about not getting a good print – my kit is reusable and you can keep trying until you achieve the results you’re happy with. For young babies & children, their prints won’t be developed enough, an alternative to capturing a fingerprint is to take an impression from the wrinkles on the baby foot or palm of the hand.
